The more things change, the more clichés are used to explain why humanity can't deal with it. Things have changed so much in the last fifteen years. What I marvel at the most is the speed at which the years have passed. My name is Donovan McElroy, and in this blog I have a lot to talk about. I think maybe I should start with my friend Dan. I met up with Dan recently and we talked about The Black Swan, a bar in Phoenix that I used to work at. The Black Swan was torn down in 2007 so that a grocery store could be built on the lot - still under construction actually. |

I had the chance to talk to Malcolm one day and really get to know him and his past. I wrote this down from memory. He was an excellent storyteller, and I'm glad I was able to keep this tiny part of him. For the blood is the life. It’s no surprise then that blood should have such a mystic symbolism. But it should also be noted how important water is. When you realize that water is such a large component of blood, you find that perhaps water is truly the source of life. |

Why do we do it? I mean, it isn't just for posterity. Some people really get into it, as if the internet has blessed everyone with their 15 minutes. Yet that 15 minutes is just a tease. Like a Scott Sigler podcast-only novel, that first taste is never enough. Then we come back jonesing for the next fix. |

mcjurnl: Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It's fun to be a vampire. Then if you live long enough, they'll make a sequel! |

mcjurnl: Happy Fathers' Day, @DanS42. Hope you had a good day with the kiddos. Tell 'em Uncle D says "Hey". Jelly Bellys, eh? That's cool. |

mcjurnl: Setting up a twitter account. @DanS42 talked me into this. Like I'm not paranoid enough. See original: |

I needed to find a new way to host the McJournal Project. My friend Dan is a huge fan of Drupal and I kinda like this new setup. Why, it even has the Web 2.0 vowel-impaired name. Gotta love it. |
